This is why all buttons, sensors, and batteries are stored internally and protected with silicon O-Rings to keep water and mud from penetrating into the electronics compartment and damaging your lock. It’s also made to withstand extreme temperatures, ranging from -10°F to 150°F (-23°C to 65°C).
